Despite being just a week after the Open Championship nearly all of the world’s top-ranked golfers are making the trip to Memphis with just two events remaining before the FedEx Cup Playoffs get underway.

The new tournament replaces two events from a season ago —  the WGC Bridgestone Invitational and the FedEx St. Jude Classic. TPC Memphis, a 7,244-yard par 70, has hosted the FedEx St. Jude Classic for 30 years before taking on the WGC name this season.

Who is in the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational field?

Forty–five of the top 50 players in the world will compete at TPC Southwind, including World No. 1 Brooks Koepka who tied for fourth last week at the Open Championship. Despite all his success at major tournaments, Koepka has not finished better than t-50 at any non-majors over the last two months.

Dustin Johnson (No. 2) came off the British Open last year to win the FedEx St. Jude Classic. His six career WGC wins are second only to Tiger Woods. Justin Thomas is the defending WGC Bridgestone champion but has never played at TPC Southwind. Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy and U.S. Open champ Gary Woodland are all back after missing the cut at Royal Portrush.

Woods will not be playing in the tournament following his disappointing Open Championship outing.

Leaders Matthew Fitzpatrick and Patrick Cantlay are scheduled to tee off at 1:50 p.m. ET Saturday. You can find a full list of Round 3 tee times here.

WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational purse, winnings

The total purse for the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational is $10.25 million, up $250,000 since last year. The winner earns $1.845 million which is $145,000 more than what Justin Thomas made in 2018 for winning the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, the tournament’s former sponsor.

WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational betting odds

Despite his poor play at Royal Portrush, Rory McIlroy goes off as the co-favorite thanks in large part to his 11 top-10 finishes in 2019. Dustin Johnson is the defending champion and has twice won at TPC Southwind. It may not be a major, but Brooks Koepka warrants his +1000 odds after finishing second and third in his past two appearances on this course.
